Business model
Agni is being developed by Lattice Innovations, a for-profit healthcare technology design and consulting firm founded in 2014. We pay our bills by offering consulting services to, and building software platforms for our Clients.
While Client-facing projects take up the majority of our time, we invest what is left in internal initiatives—software systems that we believe are useful to you AND interesting for us.
Agni is one such endeavor.
Its source code and design documentation is 100% free and open-source. It will remain free and open-source, unless a billionaire pays north of $500 million to acquire it. In which case we will take the money and build something in the critical care space.

Implementation services
If you wish you implement Agni in your health system, feel free to use the information in this website, and the code repositories on GitHub, to deploy it, use it, and modify it. We only ask that you let us know about your implementation, so that we may learn from our shortcomings and your experiences.
If you need technical assistance in implementing Agni, and would like to use our software development services, then we will treat the engagement as a Client-facing project. Based on the scope of work, and the level of customization needed, we will provide you with a milestone-based project plan. This will take no more than three workings days
, after we get on an hour-long conference call with you. If Agni is not the right platform for you, then we will let you know during the call.
To set up a call to discuss implementation, write to agni[at]thelattice.in. A human will respond to you.
We do not believe in charging Clients for work that is already done. Placing Agni in the public domain removes that temptation permanently. We prefer to earn our bread (and butter and other accoutrements) by delivering something of value everyday.
Infrastructure costs—servers, load balancers, authentication gateways, messaging systems—will be be directly billable to you. There are no hidden markups.
